In today's fast-paced digital world, parenting can often feel like navigating uncharted waters. With the proliferation of screens and technology, parents find themselves grappling with the challenge of balancing the benefits of digital engagement with the need for safe screen time and meaningful offline experiences.
At Soaring, we understand the concerns and challenges that modern parents face. Our mission is to provide a solution that not only addresses these concerns but also empowers parents and children alike with essential life skills for success in the digital age and beyond.
We spoke to parents, and the results were clear, a staggering 90.7% of parents are interested in using a life skills app with their child, highlighting a growing recognition of the importance of holistic education. Furthermore, 85.1% of parents believe that their children would actively participate in such an app, underscoring the demand for engaging and interactive learning experiences.
But our research didn't stop there. We delved deeper into understanding the specific needs and preferences of parents, seeking qualitative feedback to inform our product development process. What we discovered was enlightening.
Many parents expressed feeling overwhelmed by the constant influx of information and stimuli in their children's digital lives. They yearned for resources that not only facilitated safe screen time but also provided practical tips and tricks for building essential life skills like confidence, resilience, and communication.
One parent remarked, "I'm interested in the parent side where it gives me tips and tricks on how to build my child's skills." This sentiment was echoed by many others who emphasised the importance of guidance and support in navigating the complexities of modern parenting.
Moreover, parents emphasised the importance of bridging the gap between digital learning and real-world application. "I would be interested in resources I could use off-screen too," remarked one parent. This feedback deeply influenced our design philosophy, inspiring us to create a platform that seamlessly integrates online learning with offline activities and experiences.
